Acorn Deck House Company's good friend Maryann Thompson from Maryann Thompson Architects shared her beautiful home renovation in Boston Home Magazine's Spring 2017 issue. The Architect's renovation featured our stunning split-series wooden windows and sliders, with light-toned maple on the interior and dark-toned mahogany on the exterior. Acorn Deck House Company was very pleased when Maine Home+Design reached out to us to inquire about featuring one of our local Maine homes. We were in the process of designing a beautiful Penobscot Bay retreat (which will begin construction May 2017 – stay tuned for photos!), and thought it was the perfect home to share. The owners were absolutely delighted that their house would be featured as well. Acorn Deck House Company was approached by Audrey Hoffer of The Washington Post for an article about our process and one of our Washington, DC area homes. What resulted from this was an excellent article featuring photos of the HingeHouse, which was an Acorn Deck House Company and Maryann Thompson Architects collaboration, and interviews with Maryann Thompson, the HingeHouse homeowner, another local Acorn homeowner and the Acorn Deck House team.
